

If you have no internet and need to rescue a desktop and have your bootable USB with you thinking you can restore a backup that you've taken using version 4 or 5, you will have wasted your time. Trying to use the USB or CD on another system prompts you to activate the USB using one of your 2 permanent activations. Keep in mind that this is professional version software. What's happened with the update to 6 on the PROFESSIONAL version is that the USB and CD can only be used on the machine that the software is currently installed on. I install it to my workstation and then create bootable USB or CD and can clone on user systems or the occasional travel laptop.

I've been using HDClone professional since version 4 and it's been a great tool for a sysadmin that travels somewhat. Forgive any grammar or typos while I do this on my phone.
